No shot blocking, defensive player must have both hands straight up in the air while offensive player is shooting. The defensive players hands may touch the ball only if they are straight up and not actively trying to swing at the ball. No swinging or swatting at the ball.
The defensive players can intercept passes, pick up loose balls, and get rebounds.

Man to man defense should be taught — absolutely NO ZONE!
Teams that don’t have enough players to play a game (due to sickness, other activities, etc.) is considered a forfeit. To play the game so that all the players & other team that show up can still play, the team can field a team by adding players from another team (must be from the same division- kids from outside the league that are not signed up for the season in play, are not allowed to play). The team can also mix & match players with the opponent if the opponent agrees. The league enacted this rule to try to ensure all the kids that show up for the scheduled game get to play, even if a team is missing too many players to play the game. No matter how low your numbers, always show up to your game.
Practices are 1 hour per week in a school gym. Only enter at the time you are allotted and leave the gym promptly when it is over. Parents of children in K-2 may attend practices. Children that are not on the practicing team are NOT ALLOWED at practices or inside the building.
Coaches may not limit the size of their team. Wham will add players to teams if needed.
If a player or coach gets 2 technical fouls in a game, they are ejected and must leave the gym. The player or coach will also not be allowed to play or coach in the next game. Excessive Violations: Repeated technical fouls over multiple games can lead to suspensions.
Parents/anyone in the gym that is unruly may receive 1 technical foul and/or will be asked to leave the gym and may not be allowed at the next game. Fans are there to cheer on their teams and are not to talk to or yell at the refs. This is your only warning.
Water must be in a closed container. No other beverages or food are allowed inside of the gyms/schools.
If you are giving out treats after the game- this must be done outside of the gym/school.
After the game, please exit the gym promptly so preparation for the next game may begin.
Coach, if you meet with your team after the game, please do this outside away from busy walkways and doors.
